The Fourth Industrial Revolution is now underway. Since the term was first
used during the 2016 World Economic Forum Davos Summit, it has become popular in every
imaginable field. The field of education has been among those most significantly
influenced. Although digitalization has been happening for a while, introducing new
technologies has sped up the process. Similar discussions have already begun throughout
the nation, as seen by the recent revisions to the policy. We are thrilled to see the
new ideas in the National Education Policy, which calls for allocating 6% of national
income to education and introducing coding beginning in middle school.
States in the eastern and north-eastern regions, however, have not been able to produce
any noticeable results, whereas states like Kerala have made significant progress.
The COVID-19 outbreak has stalled the nation's progress towards reaching Sustainable
Development Goal 4; the situation is worse in states like Assam. However, if we look
at the bright side of this difficult year, we notice a rise in the population's use of
ICT, which is challenging the digital gap that predated the pandemic. Due to inadequate
infrastructure, the transformation was also discernible in teaching and learning, albeit
in a fragmented manner. Moreover, the state's pupils also struggle with a lack of
high-quality resources in the local language, in addition to the ICT infrastructure.
Additionally, our state's acclaimed individuals and rich history are underrepresented on the electronic platform.
We at eKuhipath are working to deliver high-quality study materials in the form of video
lectures to students already enrolled in school as well as to those getting ready for
a variety of competitive examinations, including the Civil Service examinations. We
have a committed group of highly qualified faculty members both inside and outside
the state. We have plans to make education more accessible and in our own language.
Now that the adventure has started, it is up to us all to move things along. Thank you.
